This was executed in a private home's atrium. The room was devoted to music and only a grand piano and a few benches would be the furnishings.
I treated the sheetrock walls and standard windows to appear as though it was an outside structure and the trompe l'oiel music scene was a fantasy focus.
This is "Venetian Memories" that I did for a family to be installed in a large family room. They gave me about 200 photos of Venice and asked me to include everything, including Gino, the flutist, her daughter fell in love with. They wanted me to do this painting over metal closet doors which I felt would not be wise, instead I executed the mural on 10 panels that had magnetic strips glued on the back of each panel. When they realized the panels could easily be moved, they then requested it be painted so that they could re-arrange the composition. If you look carefully every two panels are one scene that can be moved to either side of another 2 panelcomposition, thus there are about 20 variations of composition.

Tuscany in Connecticut The restaurant La Fortuna in Bethel tripled it’s size to accommodate parties of up to 300 The assignment was to paint murals on both sides of two 40 ft. movable walls along with the surrounding walls, which would give guests the feeling of an Italian setting. I purposefully chose to execute these images in a soft impressionistic style to evoke a dreamlike atmosphere.
